The City of Omaha will hold an Information Meeting in regard to the proposed reconstruction of Blondo Street from 123^rd to 135^th Street. As a resident or business owner in the vicinity of this project, (or someone who has expressed a desire to be kept informed about the project), you are invited to attend this meeting.

The meeting will begin with a short presentation by personnel from HGM Associates Inc. and the City of Omaha Public Works Department, describing the proposed project, the project schedule, and construction sequencing for the project. After the presentation you will be given the opportunity to discuss the project on an individual basis with representatives from the City of Omaha and HGM Associates Inc. HGM will be providing the construction management services for the City of Omaha.

June 3, 2002 - News Release

Starting 9 am Monday, June 3, 2002, Blondo Street between 132nd Street and 144th Street will be closed to through traffic.  This closure is due to street improvements and will be in effect for five (5) months.  A detour will be posted.

Starting 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2002, Farnam Street between 36th Street and 42nd Street will be restricted to two westbound lanes from 8 am until 8 pm due to street resurfacing.  This restriction will be in effect for two (2) days.

June 10, 2002 - News Release

Starting 9 am Wednesday, June 12, 2002, 52nd Street between Spaulding and Pratt Streets will be closed.  This closure is due to utility work and will be in effect for one (1) week.

Traffic Control Changes at the Intersection of 132nd and Blondo Streets

Starting 9 am Wednesday, June 12, 2002, traffic signals at the intersection of 132nd and Blondo Streets will be placed in all-way red flash.  This intersection must be treated as an all-way "Stop" intersection when red lights are in flash in all directions.

Starting 9 am Friday, Jun 14, 2002, traffic signals at the intersection of 132nd and Blondo Streets will be removed and replaced with all-way "Stop" signs.  This intersection traffic control conversion is due to street construction and will be in effect for six (6) months.

August 1, 2002 - News Release

Starting 5:30 am Monday, August 5, 2002, Blondo Street between 123rd Street and 132nd Street will be closed to eastbound traffic and will be restricted to one westbound lane.  Turns from 132nd Street onto Blondo Street will be prohibited.  These restrictions are due to street construction and will be in effect for one (1) day.

October 10, 2002 - News Release

Good News! Cass Street between 72nd Street and 74th Avenue has re-opened to traffic.

Starting 9 am Friday, October 11, 2002, 120th Street between Fort Street and Military Road will be closed.  This closure is due to street construction and will be in effect for one (1) day.  A detour will be posted.  Barricades provided by Todco Barricade Company.

Starting Saturday, October 12, 2002, 132nd Street and between Blondo Street and West Maple Road will be closed to northbound traffic and southbound traffic on 132nd Street will be shifted to the left.  This closure is due to street construction and will be in effect for one (1) day.  A detour will be posted. Starting 8 am Monday, October 14, 2002, the intersection of 15th Street and Cass Street will be closed.  This closure is due to utility work and will be in effect for one (1) week.  Barricades provided by Todco Barricade Company.

Starting 9 am Monday, October 14, 2002, the westbound right lane of West Center Road between Westgate Road and 78th Street will be closed from 9 am until 4 pm.  This restriction is due to curb and sidewalk replacement and will be in effect for one (1) week.  Barricades provided by Todco Barricade Company.

March 26, 2003 - News Release

Thursday, March 27, 2003, the left lane of 14^th Street will be closed southbound between California Street and Cass Street.  This restriction is due to street construction and will be in effect for one (1) day. 

Interchange Ramps Closed at 72^nd Street and West Center Road

Starting Monday, March 31, 2003, all ramps at the intersection of West Center Road and 72^nd Street will be closed.  This closure is due to street construction and will be in effect through autumn of 2003.  A detour will be posted.  Barricades provided by River City Barricade Company.

Construction Resumes on 132^nd Street and Blondo Street

Starting Monday, March 31, 2003, The following street restriction will be in effect:

• 132^nd Street between Seward and Erskine Streets will be open to one lane in each direction.

• Blondo Street between 123^rd and 135^th Streets will be open to one lane in each direction.
