Recent Awards Received by HGM Associates Inc.

HGM Associates Inc. has been selected by Black Hills Energy to receive a 2012 Excellence in Energy Efficient Design Award for City of Council Bluffs Operations Facility.  Award winners were selected from the highest energy saving projects that enrolled in the Commercial New Construction program.

HGM Associates Inc. was recognized for their Engineering Excellence for the Waubonsie State Park in Fremont County, Iowa.  The award was presented in 2010 by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Iowa.

We are proud to announce that we were recently recognized for Engineering Excellence for the "Avenue G Roadway and Viaduct".  The award was presented by American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Iowa.

The Le Mars Bypass received the American Concrete Paving Association (ACPA) “Gold Winner” award in their annual “National Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards” in December of 2008.  The Iowa Concrete Paving Association (ICPA) and the Iowa Department of Transportation jointly evaluated and recognized Le Mars Bypass as 2007’s Best Concrete Pavement built in the Divided Highway Category.

The Sidney Bypass received the 2006 Award of Excellence from the Iowa Concrete Paving Association (ICPA) as Iowa’s best State Road PCC Paving Project.  This Bypass recently received the 2007 National Silver Award from the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) in the State Roads Category. The award will be presented later this year during their annual convention in Arizona.

The Council Bluffs Recreation Complex received an Engineering Excellence Recognition in the Large Budget Category of the ACEC/Iowa 2005 Engineering Excellence Awards Competition. This complex includes 2 baseball fields, 8 softball fields, 10 soccer fields, tennis & volleyball courts, 2 concession facilities with restrooms, picnic areas, maintenance building, and an 800-car parking lot.

"The Legacy Award" was presented to HGM by The Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce and The Cee Bee Ambassadors on November 17, 2004!  This award recognizes long-term membership and support of the Chamber for 30 or more years.

The Star Cinema Theater in Council Bluffs was honored at a special ceremony in Ames, Iowa, hosted by the Iowa Ready Mix Concrete Association (IRMCA).  The theater project was recognized as the winner in the Commercial Above-Grade Buildings category of the 2004 Excellence in Concrete Awards.  The Star Cinema Theater Complex is a landmark building in the southwest corner of Council Bluffs.  HGM is the Architect/Engineer consultant for the Star Cinema Theater Complex.
